REVEREND WILLIAM DE ARTEAGA
A Scribe For The Kingdom
The Author of Many Literary Works…
The Rev Dr. Bill De Arteaga is most noted as a Christian historian thru his works Quenching the Spirit (Creation House, 1996) and, Forgotten Power : The Significance of the Lord’s Supper in Revival. (Zondervan, 2002). His most recent books are Agnes Sanford and Her Companions (Wipf and Stock: 2015) Pentecostal (and Anglican) Plays (and Postscripts) (Privately printed: 2017) and The Public Prayer Station (Emeth: 2018). The Rev. De Arteaga has served the Lord in multiple other ministries as well. He is the State of Georgia chaplain to the Order of St. Luke (OSL). This is a Christian group dedicated to the expansion of the healing ministry to all Christian churches. The Rev. Bill was inspired to develop the first ever “Prayer Station” ministry back in 1986. That ministry has since been adopted by many other groups including YWAM.
Bill was ordained in 2000 and then served as Hispanic pastor at two churches in Marietta. His emphasis was in combining the gifts of the Spirit and sacramental ministry into one worship event. He resigned as pastor in 2007 on the Lord’s prompting to concentrate on his writing ministry, which included completing five plays. Bill has plans for the completion of at least six more books on Christian history.
